Building a Mini-Ramp

Can’t make it to the skate park, but want to work on you tricks? With hard work and some supplies you can build your own mini-ramp right in your own driveway. You’ll need a skilsaw, wood screws, ¾ inch plywood, 3/8 inch plywood, and 2-by-4s. Look to the internet for blue prints to work from.

Take the ¾ inch plywood and lay it on a flat surface. Draw a line up the right side that will measure to 24-28 inches, depending how high you want your mini skateboard ramp to be. Draw another line to the left toward the center measuring two feet; this is the deck. Mark the bottom of the ramp, which should be a straight line measuring approximately five feet. Connect the top of the deck to the bottom in a curved manner. Create both sides using the methods laid out and then attach the two sides using 2-by-4s. Cover the ramp with 3/8 inch plywood and you’ll be ready to test it out!
